Fundraising Events
You can help child victims in our community by participating in DNLCC fundraising events. These events provide funds to support the critical services of DNLCC. In addition to attending events, you can participate by donating goods or services, by providing funds to sponsor an event, or by volunteering to be a committee member on one of the planning committees. Please contact Beverly Hutchison at bhutchison@dnlcc.org or at (843) 723-3600.
Wild Woman Tea Party
Held annually in the fall, The Wild Woman Tea Party is the brainchild of a former DNLCC Board member as an entertaining way to engage more women in the work of DNLCC. For this invitation-only event, guests enjoy an evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Themes for past “Tea” parties have included gloves, shoes, the color pink, and pearls.
Fall Oyster Roast
The Fall Oyster Roast is a casual event aimed at the young professionals of the Lowcountry. While enjoying oysters, chili, and local music, guests will learn about the mission of DNLCC, the services available, and the opportunities for them to become involved. This year's event is November 8th. Buy tickets online.
An Evening at Fleet Landing Dinner/Auction
“Another Evening at Fleet Landing” is a dinner and auction sponsored by Tradd and Weesie Newton and Fleet Landing. The evening begins with a wine reception and a silent auction featuring a wide array of goods and services donated by the business community and individuals. Following a delicious three-course dinner, a live auction is held. Past Live Auction items have included vacation homes in Colorado and the Virgin Islands, fine art and cocktail parties on private, luxury yachts. Individual tickets and corporate tables are available.
I believe... Golf Marathon
The I believe... Golf Marathon is held annually by DNLCC to raise funds to provide services for child abuse victims and their families. This is no ordinary golf tournament. Participants are challenged to play approximately 100 holes of golf in a day and solicit pledges for each hole played. Each golfer is asked to raise $25 per hole of golf played … or $2500. The next event is on April 28, 2008 . Find out how to become a part on the I believe... Golf Marathon website.
